The season 18 finale of ABC’s "Dancing with the Stars" aired Tuesday, May 20. The night included a reunion and performances by each of the 12 celebrities and their dance partners from this season, a final dance competition between the final three couples, and the crowning moment – the awarding of the Mirror Ball Trophy. Who won the Mirror Ball? Olympic ice dancing gold medalist Meryl Davis and Ukrainian pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy took it home.
Meryl may have won, but this victory was just as oakley cheap much a win for Max – after 14 seasons, he has finally won. (Yay for Meryl and Max!)
When given the chance to talk, Meryl let Max do the honors. An emotional Max said, “It’s just plastic, but it means so much, and when it’s lasted a decade of running after, it means that much more and to do it with Meryl is a dream come true. There’s a reason why it didn’t happen before because this was meant to happen with this one.”
Second place went to the inspirational Paralympian snowboarding medalist Amy Purdy and her partner Derek Hough. “Full House” child star and made-for-television movie actress, Candace Cameron Bure, and her partner Mark Ballas, came in third.
The couple chosen to perform their Freestyle encore was James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd, the couple that got voted off on Monday fake oakleys for sale night, just missing the Finals.
Prior to Max and Meryl being announced as winners, each of the 12 celebs and their dance partners had their chance to shine. Performances included Danica McKellar and Valentin Chmerkovskiy reprising their Disney Night performance to “Be Our Guest” from Disney’s animated classic, “Beauty and the discount oakley sunglasses Beast.”
Charlie White and Sharna Burgess also reprised their Disney Night performance to “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from “Mary Poppins.” Fun fact: On Disney Night, Charlie dropped his cane. This time, he breaks Sharna’s parasol and laughs it off.
Speaking of Charlie, he and his Olympic ice partner Meryl, danced live together for the first time on “DWTS.”
Last season’s champion, Amber Riley, returned to the dance floor as a musical guest. Other musical guests included Iggy Azalea with Charlie XCX, Ariana Grande and Christina Perri. This season’s competitor Cody Simpson also sang and danced to his hit single, “Surfboard,” with his partner Witney Carson dancing by his side.
As part of the “24 Hour Fusion Challenge,” Amy and Derek performed a fusion of Argentine Tango and Cha Cha receiving a perfect score of 30 points for their dance and 89 points total for the Finals from DWTS judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli. Candace and Mark scored a total of 27 points with their Fusion of Quickstep and Samba, 78 finale points total. This season’s champs, Meryl and Max also scored a perfect score of 30 points with their fusion of Foxtrot and Cha Cha, and a perfect score of 90 points total in the Finals.
Len dropped a bombshell after seeing Meryl and Max perform. “I’m not saying this is true,” Len said, “But this might be my last season and if it is, I couldn’t ask for a better dance to watch to finish up oakley sunglasses cheap with.”
